In their second game of the season, the Girl's Football Team played Rotorua Lakes High School. Unfortunately, we were taken by surprise and within five minutes we were 2-0 down. This did not deter our girls. Playing out of their skins, they had the majority of the possession throughout the first half and were unlucky to not convert shots on goal. The breakthrough came through in the reliable boot of Amelie Wood at the beginning of the second half. An equaliser by Alex Milne brought us back into the game and then Alex scored again to edge us to the 3-2 lead. It was a tussle right to the final minutes when Briana Robinson put it beyond doubt, drilling a great goal into the back of the opposition net. Well done girls; you displayed many of our Cornerstone Values to bring home the win tonight.
