Last week, our Year 12 PE students ran activities for 60 Intermediate students at Wharewaka Point in lieu of their annual Papamoa Camp. This was done as part of a Leadership achievement standard and was a huge amount of fun. The seniors ran ABL activities, kayaking, surfboard races, sand sculpture competition, ski races, and tug of war. It was 2 days full of action, and the Intermediate students really enjoyed the activities the year 12 students provided them to develop their leadership skills. Although our students were disappointed they weren't at their usual camp at Papamoa, this gave them the valuable opportunity to lead a group of students which they did extremely well.
