Nui students compete in Cyclo Cross Championships

The Skoda North Island Cyclo Cross Championships were held in Upper Hutt on July 24th. We had two strong competitors from Nui, Coen Nicol and Victoria Barrett, who both did our school proud on the day. 

The track was very muddy with several fun obstacles to ride, and it became muddier as the race went on. Every racer across all school grades was on the course at the same time, which made for some interesting racing! Victoria rode well and finished 5th in the U15 Girls, while Coen slipped at the last turn but chased hard to earn 2nd in the U17 Boys by mere seconds. Great work!
