Nui students ride hard at North Island Competition

At the recent NZ North Island Mountain Bike Competition, Nui had 8 riders competing for the school. Riders competed both individually, as well as in a senior Under 20 Boys Relay team, and a Junior Under 16 Girls Relay team.

Notable individual results were James Officer 1st in U 20 Boys, and Victoria Barrett 3rd in U 15 Girls. The other riders raced really well, with several others getting very close to podium finishes.

TNT then cleaned up, with both the Under 20 Boys Relay team and Junior Under 16 Girls Relay team coming first in both categories, and with both teams winning by over a lap each! 

Our U 20 Relay and individual riders were James Officer, Coen Nicol, and Dan Pietersma. The U 16 riders were Victoria Barrett, Amber Nicol, and Amelia Beavon. George Simpson and Josh Wigram also rode individually.

We also had students competing in the Enduro, with James Officer placing 3rd in U 20 Boys. Miles Sprague and Josh Wigram also competed in this event.
