Nui students experience voting
The Social Studies students have joined with other secondary students from around the nation taking part in the Kids Voting Programme run by the Electoral Commission. Our students used 'real' voting papers that resemble the actual papers (including the referendum votes). They were provided with polling stations and ballot boxes, and used the knowledge they have gained over recent weeks of study into our system of government to practice being active citizens. We look forward to seeing how our results compare to the nation's decision after Saturday night!
