Brooke Atkinson has taken the New Zealand rodeo world by storm, achieving incredible milestones in her rookie season. She was crowned the 2025 NZ Rookie Barrel Racing Champion and 2025 Rookie All-Around Champion, cementing her place as one of the country’s most promising young competitors.
Her record-breaking season didn’t stop there. Brooke made history as one of the youngest riders to qualify for the 2025 NZ Rodeo Finals, where she dominated the competition, winning both go-rounds and the Aggregate title against seasoned adult competitors. Her outstanding performance throughout the season also saw her finish 3rd in the NZ Open Division Barrel Racing Standings, an incredible feat for a rookie.
To top it all off, Brooke set a New Zealand record for the most money and points won by a Rookie Barrel Racing Champion, further proving her dominance in the sport.
