On Friday, Year 9 students from our Meri Market integrated learning class delivered 52 Christmas gift boxes to the Taupo Women's Refuge. These boxes are filled with toys, books and general hygiene goodies that will go to children currently staying at the Refuge so that they can all enjoy a magical Christmas.
Thank you to all those who donated items to fill these boxes! Your generosity has made an impact on the lives of those most in need in our community. If you would like to get into the Christmas spirit you can donate gifts directly to the Taupo Women's Refuge. They are accepting gifts at Waiora House and are aiming to give to 300 children in need this year! Every little bit helps.
