The volleyball growth at the College continues!
This year has been another successful year of volleyball.
Again, we offered a junior winter volleyball programme that we are convinced is helping boost our volleyball playing numbers.
This Junior volleyball season we have 3 girls teams and 2 boys teams. We sent 4 teams to the Bay of Plenty Secondary Schools Championships and 1 team across to Rotorua for a weekly competition.
We're not sure the last time we sent more than one team to the BOPSS Championships so this is exciting for us. And they all did so well, finishing above their original seeding.
Three teams are away this Junior Tournament Week competing in Auckland and Tauranga.
They are right in the thick of it with some great wins.
We wish them all the best for the rest of their week and congratulations on a great season.
Thank you to those who have coached and managed, we couldn't do it without you. Especially to our senior boys who stepped up to coach the two boys teams and our senior girls coaching one of the girls teams. We know this is inspiring for these juniors teams.
The Year 10s will be Seniors next year and their season will roll over into Term 1. No rest there!
