On behalf of all the Year 12s and 13s at Taupo-Nui-A-Tia College, we’d like to send a sincere “thank you” to all of the businesses who sponsored our school ball. From vouchers, to items of clothing, even a full set of acrylic nails, we are eternally grateful for the support we received. Our theme this year was ‘A Night in the City’ and it was a magical night full of dancing, great food and even better company.
It began with each student making a grand entrance, showing off the abundance of gorgeous vehicles that are hidden amongst our township… Upon exiting the car we were met with gasps and cheers from family and friends eager to see our dresses and suits, and once inside we then received further applause from our peers, teachers, and esteemed faculty. Each magical moment captured by amazing photographers. Upon entering the venue fully, a glamorous spectacle of fairy lights and music appeared before us and people were free to mingle or indulge in the cuisines from multiple famous cities around the world. We were also met with a multitude of photograph opportunities, including two photo booths, a stunning seated backdrop, and a wandering photographer capturing those candid moments we all adore. After a time, we began the line dances we had rehearsed for the 6 weeks leading up to the glorious evening… These dances brought smiles across our faces and laughter filled the room, it helped establish connections with people we had never expected to. Definitely a core memory for many. Afterward, came the pinnacle of the evening in which we all looked forward to- Prizegiving. Where we were able to flaunt all the glorious donations we received from many businesses around Taupō. All in all it was a magical evening, one which we will remember for years to come.
