Neeve Buckingham competed at the NZ National 3 day FEI eventing championships that ran from the 9th -12th of May down at the National Equestrian centre on her 8 year old gelding Mr Johnny Cash.
She competed in the 1* FEI class against some tough competition. She was 5th after the dressage phase, then came into 4th place after the cross country. Final phase being Showjumping, knocking one rail that saw her come in 10th overall at the end of the competition.
Sleeping in the back of the float and waking to -4 degrees was all part of the fun :)
She's had a very busy eventing season competing at 1* level at the Waikato horse trials , Matamata HT , Kihikihi HT, Brookby in Auckland x 2 (1 x for the NZ pony club eventing champs), Timberlands Pony club eventing and this event. She'll be aiming to compete at 2* level next season.
