We had a number of Nui students over the weekend who competed in the Taupo AFC U19 football team at nationals over in Napier.
Joe Brown, Ty Christensen, Sam Green, George Green, Cameron Purvis, Kasper Lenoir, Jan Linde, James McIntyre and Benny Nicholson.
The boys represented themselves, the school and club admirably. While they fell short of making the quarter finals (finishing 3rd in our pool which placed us between 9th and 12th out of 32 teams) the growth they had on and off the field will stand the team in great stead for next season and their future football careers.
They are a great bunch of young men with bright futures.
