The tournament this year was a success, the team was placed 8th out of 14 teams and this is a significant result for them as there was only 1 other 2nd XI team in their competition, the others were 1st XI teams.
The team received accolades from the tournament officials for the determination, commitment and attitude during the week, with Caitlyn Bennett and Hailey Fairweather receiving spot prizes for this. Emma Putt received a spot prize of a skateboard for her outstanding effort standing in for Ella as goalie for our final game.
A massive thanks to Sam Brown from Turfrey’s plumbing and roofing in Hastings who sponsored another BBQ for our raffle.
Also a big shoutout to Dave Nichol from Taupo Hire who sponsored us the use of a luggage trailer again.
