Today the year 9 students in the “Everybody Dance” integrated learning class led their first dance class with our senior dancers. This class allows our students to share their love of dance with people of all abilities. The students have spent the last couple of weeks creating a dance routine designed for dancers in the 65+ age range. Disco, The Bee Gees and John Travolta were our inspiration today and it was a joy to see all our dancers connecting and laughing with one another.
More FM thought this was such a cool initiative that they have reached out to us to chat about the class tomorrow morning (Thursday) at 8:15am. Our dance teacher, Nikki Quinn, and Year 9 student, Hannah Staniland, will be live on air telling all of Taupō about the class.
We would love to have more people join us for our next dance class! The dances are not difficult and are suitable for all.
Classes are to take place in the school hall during the following dates and times:
Tuesday 8th August - 1:50 - 3 pmWednesday 16 August - 1:50 - 3 pmTuesday 22nd August - 1:50 - 3pm
