After an overwhelming registration of interest in volleyball, we decided to put together a social volleyball league with 8 teams for all those keen to give it a go. This week culminated in Finals Week and all the games throughout the night were very closely fought.

The final game of the evening was between Nui Purple and Nui Pink.  Nui Purple came into the final having won all their games and having only dropped one set.  Nui Pink came into the final having had a late surge in the round-robin comp to scrape into second on the table.  This game turned out to be a battle of epic proportions, with Nui Pink snatching victory in the third set. They took out the prize for 1st place, while Nui Purple took out the Sportsmanship Award.  Also, congratulations to Nui Green for winning the Team Spirit Award. 

Overall, the Nui Junior Social Volleyball Comp has been a whole lot of fun.  Well done to all the players for participating in this comp and growing your volleyball skills over the term. A special shout-out to all the parents who supported the players - thank you for taking an active interest in this fun competition!
