Last week, the Y9 Snack Crackle & Pop class headed over to Embra, where Head Chef, Phill, and Manager, Nora gave demonstrations of different techniques they use in the restaurant, along with some of the science behind them.
They saw how pork charcuterie was made, were shown how to make edible gels into incredible canapés, and how to make yeast into scrumptious sourdough bread. The students were fascinated, many were keen to go home and ask their parents to take them for dinner :) Some of the boys were so into it, they even volunteered to wash the dishes!
