On Thursday 11th May, the Taupō-nui-a-Tia College Clay Target Team competed at the Murray Luke Memorial Shoot hosted by the Taupō Clay Target Club. This year we were able to put forward two squads, the first having competitors from previous years: George Canning, Harry Knight, Fergus MacLachlan, Nadine Gibbons, and Krystal Saldivar. The team got a very credible score, with George Canning scoring in the top 10.
The second squad was year nines who are relatively new to the sport and have done an exceptional job getting up to competition standard in such a short time: Ty Blake, Harlan Wildey, Jaxon Terry, Hamish Seymour, and Ollie Wigram.
The teams were well supported by coaches, Sharon Knight and Alec Barrett, parents, and extended whānau. Thank you to the Taupō Clay Target club members who put in such a great effort with organising and running the day.
