The Y9 Social Science classes have enjoyed getting out on their bikes recently to join Hawira from the museum on the Historical Cycling Tour. This is a great way to bring our first unit of learning to a conclusion, after using bikes as a focus for investigating Social Science concepts.
Hearing some of the local korero at significant locations along the lakefront has enlightened us on why places are named as they are, and how they are significant to our history.
Thanks to Sarah from TDC for facilitating this experience, and Hawira from the museum for his awesome korero.
