Junior Rowing Championship Success at Karapiro

Last weekend a tight-knit group of Taupo rowers took on the big guns at Karapiro and more than held their own.  There were outstanding results, and they were truly competitive.

Our student rowers who row with the Taupo Rowing Club under Mark Freeman are as follows:
Harry Febery, Nico Febery, Papillon Poynter, Lucy McKay, Oscar Strik, Zach Bidwell, Maya Berger, and Adah Williams.

The following results:
1st A Final Girls U16 Single Sculls - Papillon Poynter
3rd A Final Girls U15 Double Sculls - Papillon Poynter
7th A Final Boys U16 Double Sculls - Oscar Strik
2nd B Final Boys U18 Single Sculls - Harry Febery
6th B Final Girls U16 Double Sculls - Papillon Poynter and Lucy McKay
7th B Final Boys U16 Coxed Quad Sculls - Oscar Strik, Zach Bidwell, Nico Febery
7th B Final Boys U18 Double Sculls - Oscar Strik and Harry Febery

Huge congratulations to all of them, with special mention to Papillon, who achieved the most amazing result!
We wish them all the very best for the North Island Secondary School Champs in a couple of weeks.
