During the recent school holidays, three of our students, Dannica Wilson-Spencer, Nidhi Patel, and Emma Andrews, represented the Bay Of Plenty region at the Halberg Games in Auckland. The Halberg Games are like the Paralympics for youth. They give all children an opportunity to participate in lots of adapted sports and games that they may not have ever had a chance to play before.
Our students had an incredible time and loved getting fully involved in the sports. They especially loved riding the bikes and competing against other students from New Zealand.
A big thank you to Janet Bishop, Linda Glasswell, and Kate Parker-Orde for being with the girls during the weekend, and to Digna and Ash Patel for their incredible support.
The girls are excited to go to the 2023 Halberg Games now!
